Differences in PowerPass and CPEFlex 

The Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) offers its members bundled savings for CPE credit hours. Both programs are tailored to fit the members' schedule and offer fantastic discounting on credit hours.

📝 Key Details & Caveats

  • Credit Expiration / Use Deadline
    PowerPass credits must be used or courses registered before June 30 of the same membership year
  • One Pass Only
    You can only purchase one PowerPass online per membership year. However, if you already have one, an additional 25 or 40 credits can be added through Member Services
  • Ethics Hours
    CPEFlex Plus includes 4 hours of Florida Ethics, whereas PowerPass does not include ethics by default
  • Library / Selection Differences
    PowerPass is built around webcasts, with live Q&A capabilities.
    CPEFlex is a 24/7 on-demand library of courses (self-paced) that you can take whenever it suits you
  • Cost per Hour
    FICPA advertises that under these bundled options, you can earn CPE “at one low price starting at $18.98/hr” for 25- or 40-hour PowerPass packages
  • Flexibility & Scheduling
    PowerPass sessions are scheduled; you must attend during their designated times (or register in advance).
    CPEFlex offers more flexibility—you can complete courses at any time within the library’s availability.
