FICPA Insurance Programs Overview

The Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) offers a comprehensive suite of insurance and benefit programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of its members. Through partnerships with industry leaders, FICPA provides access to exclusive coverage options designed for CPAs, their families, and their firms.

Professional Liability Insurance

In partnership with Aon and underwritten by CNA, the AICPA's Professional Liability Insurance Program provides specialized coverage specifically designed for CPAs by CPAs. This program has been serving firms for over 75 years and is the only one endorsed by the AICPA. Policyholders benefit from:

  • Access to the Accountants' Professional Liability Assistance line
  • Premium credits for demonstrating positive risk control procedures
  • CPA Risk Control Training with Continuing Education (CE) options
  • 24/7 access to the online Policyholder Resource Center
  • Free Lunch-and-Learn webinars (earn 1 CPE credit)

Additionally, the program offers supplemental endorsements, such as CPA NetProtect®, to help protect clients’ confidential data from theft or misuse.

 

Employment Practices Liability Insurance

CPA EmployerGard, endorsed by the FICPA and nationally administered by Aon Insurance Services, provides employment practices liability insurance customized for CPA firms. This program insures firms against employment-related claims risks such as age, race or gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful dismissal. Policyholders have exclusive access to:

  • CNA Beyond HR: A portal with preventative tools to help manage your firm’s risk
  • Employment Practices Legal Hotline: Free 30-minute consultation per month with Ford & Harrison

Coverage limits range from $100,000 to $5 million, depending on the firm's qualifications. 

 

Health, Life, and Employee Benefits

Through the FICPA Insurance Marketplace, members and their employees can access a wide range of insurance choices from leading providers, including:

  • Individual Health Insurance: Options for both individuals and employer groups, with licensed benefit counselors to assist in navigating choices.
  • Group Health and Employee Benefits: Customized solutions for CPA firms, including exclusive health plan options only available to Florida CPA firms.

  • Medicare Solutions: Access to Medicare specialists who can answer questions and help navigate options.
  • Pet Insurance: Receive cash back on costly vet bills with pet insurance from Nationwide, the nation’s largest provider.
  • Identity Theft Protection: Safeguard finances, reputation, and credit with an ID theft protection plan for less than $10/month.
